We are sad to announce the passing of Past Grand Exalted Ruler James W. Damon

It is our sad duty to announce that Idaho State Sponsor Emeritus Past Grand Exalted Ruler James W. Damon passed this morning. Jim Damon was born Feb 22 1929 and joined the John Day Elks Lodge as a charter member in 1950. He served as Exalted Ruler in 1961-62 and as President of the Oregon State Elks Association in 1974-75. Jim served four years on the Board of Grand Trustees including as Vice Chairman in 1987-1988. He would then serve our order as Grand Exalted Ruler in 1990-1991 after which he served as the sponsor for the Oregon and Idaho Elks Associations.
