Capt. Adamson of the Idaho State Police, District 2 division was presented with 38 handmade blankets. These are to be used for children in distress when officers have to respond to the various incidents where children are involved. During an earlier drug awareness conversation with the Captain, Donna discovered they did not have any comfort items to help ease a distressed child. Being the DAP Idaho North Central District Chair, Donna made and donated the blankets. The Captain said he would have them placed in their patrol cars for use by the officers when needed and thanked Donna, Alan and the Elks organization for their community support of the law enforcement personnel and their needs.
Donna also left him with information about the Enrique Camarena award and urged him to submit names of any officers eligible. He also received a sample packet of all the drug awareness literature available to him from the Elks Drug Awareness Program.
